- Payments for workshops and courses are required in advance of course start dates

- Payments for editing services are invoiced monthly as work progresses

- Workshops have limited refunds due to small class sizes

Please read the full Terms below for details.

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Writing for All (“we,” “us,” or “our”) website located at www.writingforall.ca (the “Site”) and the purchase or use of our editing and coaching services and writing workshops and courses.

By accessing the Site or purchasing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.

1. Services

We provide professional editing services, manuscript evaluation, writing and journaling workshops, and coaching sessions, delivered online, in person, or through digital materials, as described on the Site.

All services are subject to availability and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.

2. Eligibility

By using the Site or purchasing services, courses, or workshops, you confirm that:

- You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)

- You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms

3. Registration and Payments

To register for a course or purchase services, you may be required to provide accurate and complete personal information, including name, contact details, and payment information.

Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. We do not store or process credit card information directly.

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated and are subject to applicable taxes (GST).

4. Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers

a. Editing Services

Editing is billed in quarter-hour segments. The Client will pay the Editor as follows: by e-transfer, cash, or cheque made payable to Hannah Calder – Writing for All.

Deposit: A 40% deposit of the quoted cost is required before work begins on the project. This amount will be credited toward the total amount owing for the project.

The Client is responsible for expenses incurred at the Client’s request such as photocopying costs, couriers, and/or postage.

Invoicing: The Editor will invoice the fees when the project is complete. All work, including edits, drafts, notes, and research, is the exclusive property of the Editor until the Client’s account is paid in full. Once the Client pays all fees due, any copyright the Editor may have in the product developed under this Agreement will transfer to the Client.

If the project exceeds 60 days, the Editor will send interim invoices monthly thereafter for work completed. The Editor has the right to stop work on the Client’s project if any interim invoice remains unpaid for more than 30 days.

Overdue Payments: The Client will pay the Editor within thirty days of receiving the Editor’s invoice. Any payment after the due date is subject to late fees of 10% per month.

b. Writing Workshops

Because workshops involve limited enrollment and advance preparation:

- Full refunds are available if cancellation requests come at least one day (24 hrs.) before the workshop start date.

- No refunds are issued once the workshop has begun.

- Transfers to a future session may be offered at our discretion, subject to availability.

c. Cancellations by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or insufficient enrollment. If this occurs, participants will receive a full refund or credit, at their choice.
